On 2 June, AFEC, the Association of HVAC Manufacturers, held its General Assembly in Palma de Mallorca, celebrating its 40th anniversary with the participation of 115 persons, including attendees and their associates. During this Assembly, the membership of the Board of Directors was renewed.
The General Assembly meeting, in which 48 affiliated companies were represented, was presided by the Chairman of the Association, Luis Mena, who highlighted the most important events that have taken place in recent years, referring to the evolution of the economic situation during this period. In addition, Mr. Mena referred to a number of the Association’s milestone achievements and explained the challenges that it still needs to work on to meet. The Chairman highlighted that this year the AFEC celebrates its 40th anniversary and referred expressly to all of the persons who have held the post of Chairman of the Association since its foundation. In addition, he expressed his thanks to the persons who comprised the outgoing Board, to the members and to the AFEC working group.
Following the General Assembly, Federico Muñoz, Technical Sales Director of the CEIS (Innovation and Services Testing Centre), delivered a keynote presentation entitled “The Added Value of Tests”.
After the meeting had ended, the attendees were invited to an official dinner in the Son Termes Estate, in Bunyola. During the dinner, the Chairmen referred to the AFEC’s 40th anniversary, which was commemorated as part of the Assembly. In this regard, he paid tribute to the companies KOOLAIR, S.A. and SOLER & PALAU Ventilation Systems S.L., which have been members of the Association since it was founded in 1977, with the presentation of commemorative plaques that were collected by Tomás Susarte and Pedro Pulido, Managing Director and Sales Manager respectively of these companies, who are also members of the AFEC’s Board of Directors. Eugenio de Miguel, member of the Board and representing KIEBACK & PETER IBÉRICA, S.A., also received a commemorative plaque in recognition of his work as Treasurer of the Association for 10 years.
Several activities took place the following day, including a visit to the port of Soller and the town of Valldemossa, followed by lunch at La Granja de Espories. The events concluded with dinner at a restaurant in Puerto Portals.Leave a reply
